Jiun-Ru Wang is an active cellist who has performed in major international concert venues throughout the United States of America, Europe, and Asia including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall in New York City, The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Pepsico Hall in Texas, Concert Hall of The French- Czech Academy of Music in Telč, Taipei National Concert Hall and Taichung National Theater in Taiwan, Tieling Concert Hall in China, and the Theater of Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

As an educator, Dr. Wang is a strong believer in “Every child has the possibility to be a great musician.” She prides herself in promoting not just the proper way to educate children in mastering cello performances, but more importantly, helping the students develop a love and passion for music. Being a passionate and energetic teacher, Dr. Wang teaches students of different ages, ranging from toddlers to adults, as small as individual lessons to large group classes. Well known for customizing lessons, writing her own arrangements, and using a variety of teaching tools for each student based on their needs and interest. 

As a performer, Dr. Wang has formed an award-winning piano trio- The Raritan Trio in 2019. The Raritan Trio has quickly achieved the highest esteem in the second year after they formed, such as winning first place in Charleston International Competition, third place in Rudolf Barshai Competition, Bronze medal of American Prize Chamber Music Competition, and winning in Odin International Competition and Rutgers Chamber Music Competition. They also received a full fellowship to Mimir Chamber Music Festival and were invited to participate in Carnegie Hall’s Audience Engagement Intensive program. Their performance experiences include various venues throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. They are actively participating in community outreach and bringing music to every corner of the world.
